“He doesn’t speak at an audience. He brings them in.”

Ian Williams draws on all of it: leadership, pressure, success and personal struggle. His sessions are interactive and deeply human, and they leave people thinking, feeling and acting differently.

Why organisations book Ian

What you get when you book Ian.

Liverpool-raised, leading people since he was seventeen, and more than thirty years of turning businesses around across three continents. Now he brings that to the stage.

Ian Williams presenting to a room

A room that opens up

Ian goes first with his own story, hard parts included, and that gives people permission to be honest too. Polite rooms end up laughing, reflecting and saying things they didn’t expect to.

Emotion and substance

Thirty years in operational leadership means Ian speaks the language of performance as fluently as the language of people. Audiences feel something; leaders get something they can defend in a boardroom.

Something that outlasts the day

Most keynotes are forgotten by Monday. Ian leaves people with a framework and one clear action, so the conversation carries on long after he’s left the stage.

Shaped around your room

No two sessions are the same. Ian tailors every keynote to your audience and context, then reads the room live and adapts.

Keynotes

Three keynotes Ian delivers often.

A selection, to give you a feel for what Ian brings. Every session is interactive, built on the Five Pillars and tailored to your audience, and more themes are available.

Signature

The Art of Being Human

Resilience, inside out

Resilience isn’t the ability to endure more pressure. It’s understanding ourselves, managing our capacity, recovering intentionally and owning how we respond. Audiences score themselves live against the Five Pillars of Fulfilment.

Audiences leave with

  • A framework for navigating pressure
  • An honest picture of their life across the Five Pillars
  • A nervous-system reset they can use anytime
Keynote

The Energy Effect

Own it. Protect it. Elevate it.

Who, or what, is stealing your energy? Starting with Energy Vampires and Energy Boosters, this lively session shows how energy is gained, drained and transferred, and how individual energy becomes collective culture.

Audiences leave with

  • A clear read on their energy drains and boosters
  • Practical ways to protect their capacity
  • What leaders do to lift a whole team
Keynote

The Gold in the Cracks

Inspired by kintsugi

Our cracks can become a source of strength. Contrasting kintsugi with karōshi, this session examines the role leaders play in creating environments where people feel seen, heard and safe to speak honestly.

Audiences leave with

  • Why hiding the cracks costs more than showing them
  • How to use vulnerability appropriately at work
  • The warning signs a culture is missing

Your theme

Shaped around your event

Have a different theme in mind? Tell us what your people need to hear right now. Ian builds the keynote around your audience and your moment, on the same Five Pillars, and reads the room live on the day.

Workshops

A working session that moves the team, not just the needle.

More than a keynote with exercises. Your team works through something together, has the conversations it has been avoiding, and leaves with next steps it built itself.

Half dayFor an offsite, a leadership day or a team retreat.
Full dayMore room for the honest conversations and the plan that follows.

What a workshop looks like

To open

Where are we now?

The session opens with the Fulfilment Score, a structured self-assessment across all Five Pillars that gives the team a shared, honest starting point. People stop performing for each other and start being real.

In the room

What does this mean for us?

Facilitated group work that turns personal insight into a team conversation. Where are the patterns? What is the culture actually asking of people? What is being left unsaid?

To close

Where do we go from here?

The session closes with clarity: individual commitments, team agreements, and a shared language for the conversations that need to continue after the room empties.

Every workshop starts with a scoping conversation: your team, your culture, the dynamics in the room and what you want to walk away with. What gets delivered is built around that brief, not pulled from a template.

Good to know

Before you book.

The questions event organisers ask us most. Anything else, ask us directly.

Can Ian speak virtually?

Yes. Ian speaks and facilitates in person or virtually, across Australia and internationally.

What does a keynote cost?

Fees are on request. Every engagement is tailored, so they depend on the format, your audience and the location. Tell us about your event and we’ll come back to you.

Can the keynote be about our theme?

Yes. The three keynotes above are the ones Ian delivers most often, not a fixed menu. Every session is tailored to your audience and context, and more themes are available.

How long is a keynote?

Usually 45 to 60 minutes. Workshops run for a half or a full day, and leadership sessions are shaped around your team.

What happens after the day?

Often, a keynote is the beginning. Teams go deeper with the six-week Wellness Accelerator or a Masterclass for the leadership team, and nørma keeps the work going every month.

How quickly will we hear back?

Within one business day. A few details about your event are enough to start.
